Contribute

We are always looking for talented writers and photographers to help tell the story of Mogadishu and Somalia. If you would like to contribute to Mogadishu City Magazine, please read the guidelines below and get in touch with our editor.

Writers

If you are interested in writing for us, please email our editor, being sure to tell us:

  • your writing experience (including samples of your work)
  • your special areas of expertise or interest
  • details of any story idea you would like to propose

Photographers

If you are a photographer and would like to supply photographs for the magazine, please email our editor, being sure to:

  • give details of your photographic experience
  • share some samples of your photographic work. This can be in the form of low-res attachments, a link to a selection of your images or a folder sent by a file transfer application. The more images sent, the better.
  • send an outline of any specific proposal you would like to suggest.

Important: We will aim to get back to you as soon as possible, but please be patient as we have a lot to get through and assess submissions in batches on a periodic basis.
